AUDITIONS!!!!!

That's right! We are auditioning puppeteers to join our cast. Here are our prerequisites:

* Puppeteer or some experience with puppets is preferred but not a must
* Acting and improv background
* Knowledge and interest in puppetry arts
* Range of different character voices
* Hand/mouth coordination
* A desire to create comedy in a team player environment
* Comfortable working in VERY close quarters with other performers
* The ability to learn and grow through trial and error


This is a brand new puppet troop in it's beginning stages of creation. We ask that you have an open mind and freedom to contribute your ideas as we explore our possibilities together. What we are aiming to accomplish with our troop is to perform an hour long comedy sketch show monthly/weekly in the city of Chicago. This may evolve into something more, but until the time comes, this is the goal. 


We'd ask that you plan on being in the audition from about 30-45min.

The audition will consist of an improv game warm-up with fellow candidates, followed by a few group and paired improv games with our No Socks Allowed puppets that will be provided. We will then try on different puppets to work on character voices. For the closing bit of the audition, we ask you to provide your own song to lip sync to using one of our No Socks Allowed puppets provided. This can be a cd, ipod, or something equivalent to a song that would give an idea of a lip sync performance.


The scheduled times (subject to change depending on candidate availability) are:
Sunday November 21st - Early afternoon 2pm-4pm
Monday November 22nd - Evening 7pm-9pm
Tuesday November 23rd - Evening 7pm-9pm


Again these time slots are subject to change. Location TBD

Field Trip

Soooo, Girlie Monster, Kevin and Jessica made a field trip to downtown and Navy pier but *alas* the giant fog cloud rolled in to interupt our sunlight. We decided to take Monster on a field trip to delight both her and those who got a chance to spot her. After the responses we got, there will be more field trips to come so keep your eyes open for Monster sightings.....  :-)
